UPSC Corrigendum - Rules for Civil Services Examination 2013 and Press Note

Union Public Service Commission has issued notification for the Corrigendum of Civil Services Main Examination, 2013 under the EXAMINATION NOTICENO. 04/2013‐CSP. Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be conducted on 26th May, 2013 as per earlier schedule. No changes are made in it.

The commission has made some changes in the scheme of Main Examination for which, the Commission's notice dated 05/03/2013 was published on the website and in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar on 16/03/2013.  The corrigendum was published in the Gazette of India (Extra‐ordinary) on the date 25/03/2013.

The changes are made in Appendix–I, Section–I under Plan of Examination and Section‐II [B. Main Examination]. The major change was made that language paper and English paper will be continue in main exam but the marks will not be considered for preparing merit list.

Another change was that candidates can give exam in any language listed in schedule -VIII (eight) to the constitution of India or in English. However, Paper-A and Paper-B must be given in qualifying language and the question paper will be provided in Hindi and English language only.

Press Note for GUJCET 2013 – Online Registration

Gujarat Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar has issued notification for online registration for GUJCET-2013. The Board has declared notice that the students, who wish to take admission in Medical programmes, must have to give Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) in May, 2013. The students have to register online for the examination.

Below instructions should be followed before registration:
1) Information Booklet and PIN number (User ID – Password) should be collected from distribution centre on 30/03/2013 and 31/03/2013 by issuing Demand Draft of Rs.250/- drawn in favour of "Sachivshree, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar" payable at Gandhinagar (List of schools is given under 'A' in official notification).

2) Information Booklet and PIN number(User ID – Password)  can be collected from 30/03/2013 to 15/04/2013 at Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot centres (list of schools is given under 'B' in official notification).

3) By using of User ID – Password, students can register themselves for GUJCET – 2013 through the website gujcet.gseb.org (Online registration is mandatory) from 30/03/2013 to 15/04/2013.

4) Demand Draft should be drawn earlier so that candidates can avoid rush in ending of March.

5) Candidates have to upload their photograph and signature at the time of registration. Email address and mobile number are compulsory to add in the application form.

Age Limit: A Candidate's age should not be more than 35 years as on 25/03/2013.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is permissible to the employees of Subordinate Courts or any other High Court as per the prevailing rules.

Dates to Remember: Online application shall be start from 01/04/2013 at 12.00 noon and closed on 05/04/2013 at 12.00 midnight. Main examination will be taken on 05/05/2013. Viva test (Oral Interview) will be conducted in June- 2013.

University Grants Commission (UGC) NET Results – Examination Date 30/12/2012

University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the result of National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Lectureship. The examination was held on 30th December, 2012. The commission has declared the list of pass students given on following link.

The list is arranged in order of Roll Numbers. There are total 3669 candidates who have passed UGC- NET for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Lectureship.

Candidates may download e-certificates on the user profile created by the candidates while filling and submitting their online application forms. The commission is not responsible for any technical/typographical error. Candidates, who had not completed their Master Degree at the time of UGC –NET, should have to complete within two years from the date of declaration of this result.

Reschedule Gujarat High Court - Peon Interview 31/03/13 instead of 29/03/13

The High Court had issued notification for oral test (interview) for the post of Peon. Candidates from Seat No. 11001501 to 11002010 were called for personal interview on 29/03/2013 at Gujarat High Court, Ahmedabad. The court has announced now to present for interview on 31/03/2013.

Candidates have to attend interview on 31/03/2013 at the same time and venue. No changes are there in time and place for interview. For this, they do not need to download printout of new call letter. Candidates are requested to read instructions before coming to the interview.
