Eligibility Criteria For

Education Qualification: Job hunters need to have Graduate Degree/Diploma in relevant subjects or equivalent from certified university/institute.

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET-2015) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) – February 2015

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi will hold Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Examination scheduled to be held on 22nd February 2015.  CTET Feb 2015 exam for selection of Teacher Classes I-V (Primary Stage) and Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage).

Candidates can apply only Online for CTET-FEB 2015 on CTET Website www.ctet.nic.in

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Submission of On-line application : 18.12.2014 to 08.01.2015
  • Last date for Online Submission of application : 08.01.2015
  • Last date for payment of fees through E-Challan or : 10-01-2015 (before 01:00 PM) Debit/Credit Card by the candidate.
  • Final List of Candidates-Check Status & Particulars : 16-01-2015
  • Period for On-line Correction in Particulars : 16.01.2015 to 23.01.2015
  • Download Admit Card from CTET website : 02.02.2015

Applicability

The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the Administrative Control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET Schools owned and managed by the State Govt./local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Govt. However, a State Govt. can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET

Note: The candidates who qualify the exam will be appointed as Primary Level Teacher for Classes I-V or Junior Level Teacher for Classes VI-VIII as per their performance in the written examination

Eligibility

The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage

      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) or
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. Or
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). or
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Or

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

      • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). Or
      • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). or
      • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. Or
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or
      • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. Or

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

Pattern of Exam

The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ's); there will be no negative marking; there will be 2 papers of CTET

Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V

Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II)

Application Fees

For Paper-I or Paper-II (one of these): Rs.600/- (General/OBC)/ Rs.300/- (SC/ST/Diff. Abled)

For Paper-I and Paper-II (both): Rs.1000/- (General/OBC)/ Rs.500/- (SC/ST/Diff. Abled)

The application fee can be submitted through Challan/Debit/Credit Card

Payment of Fees by Challan

Affix a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided of the dully complete Application Form/Confirmation Page (also original CBSE copy of Challan, if fees paid through Bank/Post Office Challan)

Send the application in an envelope super scribed in bold letters "APPLICATION FOR CTET-FEB 2015" by Registered/Speed Post to “The Assistant Secretary (CTET), Central Board Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, I P Extension, Patparganj”, Delhi-110092

How to Apply

Online application has to be submitted by accessing the websites www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in

The candidate should supply all the details while filling up the on-line application

Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated confirmation page after successful submission of data, which has to be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit, after affixing a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, and also with the original CBSE copy of challan if fees paid through challan

The fee can be remitted in the following ways

Through challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE account with Syndicate Bank or e-Post office in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi

By Debit/Credit Card - Procedure for submission of Online Application Form of CTET-FEB 2015

Please read the Information Bulletin of CTET FEB 2015 carefully before you start filling the Online Application Form

Candidates can apply for CTET-FEB 2015 online through website www.ctet.nic.in; candidates can apply on-line at CTET website www.ctet.nic.in

Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Registration Number after successful submission of data upload of images and payment of fees for record and future reference; the confirmation page should not be sent to CBSE

The application for CTET-FEB 2015 has been made completely online with the facility to upload photograph and signature of the applicant; the particulars will be filled online and the scanned images of photograph and signature (in JPG format only) will be uploaded at the time of filling the application form

The candidates/facilitation centres are advised to keep the scanned images of photograph and signature of the candidates ready in JPG format before applying online

The candidate should mention their own Mobile No., E-mail ID, Photograph and Signature while submitting their On-Line application as the CTET alerts will send to the candidates on their registered Mobile Number and E-mail ID

Application Procedure (4 Simple Steps to be followed to apply online)

Step 1: Fill in the Online Application Form

Step 2: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature; the scanned images of photographs and signature should be in jpg format; size of the photo image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 100 kb; size of the signature image must be greater than 1 kb and less than 25 kb; image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) only; image dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height) only

Step 3: Pay Examination Fee by Challan or debit/credit card

Step 4: Print Confirmation page for your record and future reference, if required

The candidate particulars entered can be edited till the payment of fees has not been made; the candidate's particulars cannot be changed/ edited once the examination fees have been submitted; thereafter correction can be made during the period online corrections will be permitted from 16th January 2015 to 23rd January 2015

Before submission of application form, make the following preparations:

      1. a) Scanned images of photograph and signature (in JPG format only) for uploading while submitting on-line application
      2. b) A copy of Secondary Education Board Class X Certificate
      3. c) Decide the mode of payment of fee,
      4. d) Through Debit/Credit Card using on-line gateway payment facility, or
      5. e) Depositing in CBSE Bank Account with Syndicate Bank or Depositing in CBSE Account with Canara Bank directly by downloading the Challan Form from the CTET website ctet.nic.in

The Application Form/Confirmation Page (Copy of Challan, if fees paid through Bank Challan) should not be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit
