Faculty Development Program on “Making Management Education Employable”, Date: 3rd & 4th August 2012

Management faculty members -Mr. Mulchandji Sen, Mr. Krunal Patel, Mr. Manish Pathak & Mr. Sanjay Joshi participated in two days’ FDP on “MAKING MANAGEMENT EDUCATION EMPLOYABLE” jointly organized by GTU and CONFEDERATION OF INDIAN INDUSTRIES (CII). About 70 participants including TPOs, faculty members, directors & industry delegates from all over Gujarat participated in this FDP. The first day session was chaired by Dr. Ganesh Natrajan – Chairman, CII WR. Dr. Akshai Aggarwal – Vice Chancelor of GTU delivered key note speech in which he oriented about various GTU activities and future planning. The various sessions includes- How to make management education employable?, TCS perspective on industry engagement in management education and Industry intervention in enhancing quality of management institutions. Panel discussion on, “Industry – Academia interface” was scheduled during second half of the session. Mr. Mangesh Wagle from Dale Carnegie Training initiated second day’s session on Powering teaching competencies & Ms. Rashmi Bhargava, Director- University Initiatives SHRM took second session on 5 P’s of Academic Excellence. All these sessions imparted knowledge and techniques to enhance skills to make management education employable. This FDP will certainly help our faculty members to teach and impart knowledge so that it provides more employability to students and help them in enhancing career opportunities.
